Seeing this photo brings back the most intense flood of memories. On the surface, it is just a photo of us in a parking lot. But this photo was from Primavera Festival in Barcelona in May 2009, right behind the stage. We had just played in front of the biggest crowd that we had ever seen, it was truly unreal. We had just finished playing and immediately had to do a couple of interviews, which were hilariously interrupted by all of our friends bands that were also running around in the parking lot. (I’m looking at you, Mae Shi) This photo was taken right as the interviews were over, the sun was setting, and one last person wanted to take our photo with a disposable camera. Life really couldn’t have been better than it was at the exact second this picture was taken. I love that the photographer’s finger was in front of the lens.
